Valentine’s Day at Deluxe Bakery in Iowa City

Somehow in 5 years covering University of Iowa in never made it to a Dance Marathon. Wow. What a scene. College students get a bad rep of partying too much or for misplaced priorities, but talk about an example of them getting it right. This is it. Well over 1000 students, pediatric cancer patients and their families are packed into the Iowa Memorial Union for the annual 24 hour student-run, volunteer dance fundraiser. They should raise more than $1 million towards cancer research this year.

Happy 100th day of school, Iowa City kids. Only 80 more.

Hopefully the Iowa women can salvage this hawkeye weekend. This video shows hawks hitting a three and then stuffing the huskers to go into halftime with 33-31 lead.
